Fifty Nine specialises in integrating projection, video and the moving image into live performance.

Fifty Nine Productions' directors Leo Warner and Mark Grimmer have undertaken the video design for a significant number of stage shows over the last five years, with demand for this creative collaboration increasing exponentially since the company's London debut with Waves in the Cottesloe at the National Theatre in October 2006, and our opera debut Satyagraha with Improbable Theatre at English National Opera in 2007.

Since then, Leo and Mark have worked on productions at English National Opera, the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera (New York), and have undertaken two further shows at the National Theatre, in the Lyttelton and Olivier respectively, and have also been appointed as Video Design Associates by artistic director Nicholas Hytner.

Sometimes working together with other members of the company, and sometimes independently, we often provide technical expertise as well as creative collaboration, and many of our shows have involved developing new systems or techniques which have moved the possibilities of video design for theatre forwards. We can also provide equipment and technical personnel for shows we are working on.

We have many exciting stage projects lined up in the coming months, and we always welcome enquiries regarding new projects or ideas. We now work regularly at venues in North America, and will be undertaking our first European production in 2009.
