ROH2’s first commission for the new Season is from choreographer Kim Brandstrup. In a creative collaboration with Royal Ballet Principal Tamara Rojo, the new work will be created for a diverse company of exciting dancers in the intimate setting of the Linbury Studio Theatre.
This rare opportunity is an invitation to see in close-up the subtleties and nuances of Rojo’s expressive technique through the work of a choreographer who tells a story through every step. With the cyclical pathways of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations as its framework, the commission promises Brandstrup’s cool narrative lines threaded with Rojo’s passionate intensity; a journey for heart, mind and spirit.
